“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne ceaselessly into the past”. This quote defines gatsby because he was living in the past when daisy liked him and he was moving without thought.
Does Gatsby symbolize our culture and even our own desires, or is he an outlier. I believe that gatsby is a good guy and is just following his heart. To some content we do the same to make ourselves happy like satisfy our loved ones needs.
